My purpose in consulting Sarah was to have advice on how to dress based on who I am (rather than who I think I am!), as well as to learn and benefit from her skill in putting together outfits and wardrobes. As I put it to a friend - Sarah was to keep me from unknowingly living in a rut - because who knows when they are in a rut or are ruttIsh in personality or inclination. And will your best friend tell you? (And if she did would you want to listen to HER advice).

We all are good at presenting ourselves to a degree, and all have blind spots due to self image, the opinions of our friends and families, or just a lack of a sense of visual balance and harmony. When I empowered Sarah I had to be ready to have someone see me in a new way, and to show me, by example, my own presentation / style strengths and limitations.

The first thing that happened is that I learned where my own instincts are A OK! I also learned some great new practical skills around putting things together and completing a look, and Sarah helped me stretch beyond my comfort zone, while still within my personal style. As she had me try things on, a new person came into focus. I had flashes of seeing someone else in myself – someone sitting above the rut looking down at me and beckoning! I can hardly wait to see what happens next!

I have been working with Sarah Collins for the past three years and, with her assistance, have built a wardrobe that works for all the different facets of my life. With Sarah's advance work scouting for additions each season, I save a lot of time and have ended up with just the right coordinated items to let me expand my daily selection by mixing and matching different pieces. Most importantly, Sarah has increased my confidence in how I look, which increases my confidence in meetings and presentations. Sarah's fashion skill has been a strong positive for both my Timothy's life and my personal life.

I have a wardrobe consultant. Another way to describe her is a closet buster... I may have less in my closet than I did before Collins enetered my life, but I now have more outfits. Clothes that I despaired of wearing because of boredom, uncertainty or (let's be honest) lack of imagination, gained new life once Collins recast them in new roles.
